POSTING FROM THE “FINDERS” FORUM

On Wednesday I was taken to a area in the Vic Goldfields to detect a certain spot. Upon arriving at the spot it was noticed that there were two uncovered dig holes about 6 to 8 inches deep and two uncovered holes about 4 inches deep and two scratch holes and it would appear that someone had beaten us to the spot.

However I was asked to swing the Infinium - which I did and found six targets. Two of the targets were between 10 and 12 inches - two were at about 5 to 6 inches - one was in the dirt out of one of the previously dug holes and one was lying on the surface. (All the targets were in an area of about 10 ft by 10 ft.) By the time I had found the sixth target I was a bit suspicious as five of the targets were 5 cent pieces (which from their colour and state had been buried there for a long time) and the sixth was a small screw.

It transpires that I was finding targets placed in ground where a distributor of detector products conducts his tests and tells everyone that the ground is highly mineralised and hot and if a detector" can't balance and work here" that it is not worth buying. Well my Infinium balanced - had a stable threshold - detected perfectly - so I would only assume that I have a detector that would have passed his tests perfectly. As I said I was feeling a bit "not so good" about the test so I stopped looking for any more targets but I'm sure if there are any left there I could have easily found them.

To me this proves the capabilities of the Infinium and if this is the case I fail to see how so many negative statements are posted on this site. The worst thing about my test was the fact that there had been quite a lot of rain previously and I'm sure that if I had detected all the mud and clay stuck to the bottom of my shoes I would probably found some targets there as well.

Maybe some of you who are apparently posting a lot of nonsence and probably lies will GET A LIFE and try to be honest with us but more importantly BE HONEST WITH YOURSELVES. Remember every detector is different as is every make of car - Some will do better in some areas and the others will have different benefits.

Have a good life - Bogene
